Stringer Gallery

The Stringer Gallery is located within the Nambucca Community and Arts Centre (NCAC) in Ridge Street, Nambucca Heads, between the Post Office and Library. It showcases work by local artists and themed exhibitions change on a regular basis. There are always works on display in all media and at very reasonable prices. The gallery also has greetings cards for sale made by local artists.

Stringer Gallery

The NCAC is itself is a historic building which dates from 1896. It was originally called ‘The School of Arts”. Following a fire in 1937 there was substantial re-building and the facade was constructed in its present “Art Deco ” style. The gallery section of the building was added to commemorate the Bicentennial Year in 1988.

Membership of the Nambucca Valley Arts Council is open to artists and non artists alike and members are encouraged to take part in duty sessions in the gallery.

All work in the gallery is for sale and lay-by facilities are always available. A range of greetings cards made by local artists are also on display.
